Leap of Faith

“There would be life within the fall.” Those moments when we languish among the dirt, we come to know what survival is really about. It’s like climbing a mountain every single day only to end up falling from the very cliff which separates a winner and a loser. But the addiction with survival is so fatal that with every dawn we make an attempt again. The pain, however, gets excruciating with every fall, and with every passing day we lose our devouring confidence of making it ever. But a ray of hope is like the tinsel town in a dead city which lights up at every bit of goodwill thrown at it. So with scars all over the body and the moment of giving up not very far, we make a final attempt.

The eyes get shrouded with mystery as the dazzle of fear from a loss slowly wanes away from the fingers, and the moment arrives when the leap is finally made, and a new winner emerges from it. The paradise that we had awaited for time and again had finally fallen to our will, and our footsteps behold the change the world would now bear upon. We get a wish in return to clear the scars on the quest for greatness, that we respectfully ignore “Those scars define me, they make me who I am. They remind me of hope, and hope is eternal.” We march ahead with this memory in mind and with a hope to rise with every fall we encounter in our life.

“No pit is ever so big that we could never escape; there is always a way, there will always be.” We thump our heart, and take a leap again.

Fight Club

“Closing lines with an ending punch,
Driving high with a broken bunch,
Jabbing ahead to feel the rush
To make the pain wither instead.

Hit back with all your might,
Hook in with all you got,
But don’t lose heart, don’t cry behind
If you find me still standing and smiling at your punch.

Bloodied and dusted I may look,
But with the appearance if you judge,
You would stand fooled when I throw all my might,
Leaving you tattered with pain you would never forget.

It would be clear by now
That I ain’t here to just survive,
I am here to make the legends fear
To carve my place among the greats,
With an inch more than anyone could near.”

The King’s Resurgence

I am just a kid lost in this magnanimity of fame & politics, these people deserve more than this. They need a true leader to back them, to fight for them, and to even lay down his life for their cause. But I have no vision, no self-confidence, Father I am truly lost. If only you were here to help me back my strengths, to instil that passion & vigour with which you handled the state affairs, maybe I would have stopped these atrocities from happening.

I have become a prisoner in my own palace, I fear for my own life than for my people, in this situation how can I instil hope in my people. It’s been long time now, I have finally decided to act my dear father, I cannot allow these wrong doings to continue. I have lost my close friend because I turned my eye away when his village was ravaged by my corrupt General.

I did try to stop him, but he was too strong for me to threaten back, & what I was left with was another village torn into pieces, the very village where I was taught how to live, where I first fell in love, where I made friends for a life time & where my beloved teacher lived & died. I let this happen because I was too scared that I would lose my throne. But now I realize that when a king cannot take care of his own people, there is no use in carrying the crown & trumpeting of being a king. It now feels like a burden to me; the cries of the deprived people ringing in my ears, their cries for help which I have chosen not to listen for long. They all come back ringing louder and louder as the days pass by.

It’s not in the palace where I belong; it’s between the people where I should be. They make me feel at home, & it’s only through them I am going to fight. And I am going to fight till my last breath, until I can achieve your dream my father. The dream of seeing democracy in our kingdom, it’s the only way through which I can give back the power to the people, who should be the real rulers of this Kingdom.

It’s going to be a long summer, father.  The sacrifices our people have made will not go down for nothing; I will not let this happen, no matter what.

As I watch the faces of my army who have lined up to live the biggest battle of their lives, I see no fear but a sense of calmness which has been instilled in each and every one present. We have prepared long for this day, now when we see the enemy approaching with all its might, there is a smile which appears in unison, a smile which I share with them.

Father, bless us to proclaim what is rightly ours, bless us to win.

As I lift my sword in the air, the trumpets begin to roar as the army readies to attack, & by the time I raise my sword again, the sound of our army has eclipsed any other sound in the vicinity.

The ‘Dream’ Kite

Flying my dreams on a windy day,
They soar a little and fall another,
Steadying the grip by pulling it close
For giving it the flight it much deserves.

The paranoia of fall dims my vision,
Becoming the dark cloud
That strikes lightning at will,
Matter of time when everything pours to nil.

I loosen the string further
To allow my dream to breathe,
Living was not a choice
But living for a dream is.

The Unconquerable

Sounds of tapping feet
Slowly gaining their momentum,
Sirens kept buzzing the place
Reminding the enemy
That its only a matter of time.

Matter of time before
They lay their arms down,
Matter of time before
They could make their last shot,
Matter of time before its all over.

Unexpected can happen
When you least expect it
But not when you least try;
So be it, the bullets whistled past the ears
knocking the man out of the convoy.

A retaliation was never expected
And thy never prepared for, by the convoy,
leaving the ground open for
the will to act to prosper by playing the role
which a solution plays for the problem.

When situations such as these get gloomy
And chances of survival are low
Defiance it will be and will always be
To breed a new genre into the souls
Of the upcoming era of civilisation.

Unbowed and unsilenced, the head
Will remain always strong
With an unconquerable thirst
For freedom and for happiness
In the ventures we thrive to enter.

Ever tried. Ever Failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail Again. Fail Better.

~ Short Narrative on Challenges in life.

Hanging on the bar can be quite strainful, been doing it for few weeks now. There was an old man wearing a green cap who would sit down at a seat opposite to me and will look into the routine as if there was something new he is seeing. Couldn’t understand what change did he observe as i felt i didn’t get any better, however I kept hanging and kept trying. One day the old man got up, came by and dropped a string of words in my ear. Those words are the ones which I would say are priceless.
“Getting up knowing that its not your day but still striving to make one, will surely build one someday”.                                                                   Miracles don’t happen in air, it happens on the very ground we breathe on. Perseverance is all we need.
